Blindspot | A Poem

Blindspot (n)

– an area or subject in which a person lacks understanding or impartiality.

This is inspired by and dedicated to every girl who doesn’t see or understand the scale of her own beauty. Send it to them as a reminder.

You were always shy
Hiding under false lashes
You with your bold lips
Sharp tongue
And sharp cat eye
You seem to have
A blindspot
For your beauty inside
And how it translates
To that dimpled smile

Don’t run from your reflection
Stay a while
By the riverside
You with your flower crown
Blending with the wonders
Like you were drawn on a canvas

She (Was So Beautiful)

She is whoever you want her to be as long as she is beauty to your eyes. Plainly, she is woman.

And she was so
It might have been a curse
For she was the moon
She bought the tide
And she was the breeze
She fashioned breathing

And she was the ocean
She made the sky blue
She gave the earth hues
She makes the day new
For she keeps the night true
